In short, it is about clearing all 10 pins in each of the 10 rounds (called frames) of a bowling game. For this the player has 2 throws per round. If the player manages to clear all 10 pins within two throws in the 10th round, he has a third throw free. The winner is the player who threw the most pins in the game over all 10 rounds.

If a player clears all 10 pins at once on the first throw of a round, he has thrown a strike. If the clearing only succeeds with the second throw, this is a spare.

Bowling is played with bowling shoes. This is not an invention of ours to earn extra money, rather it has important reasons. Bowling is a "sliding sport". Experienced players slide the last centimeters to the throwing line and let go of the ball while sliding. For this it is necessary to have a smooth run-up. With us, this is wooden parquet and if this parquet is contaminated by dirt from street shoes or rubber from sneakers, experienced players can injure themselves when braking abruptly. In addition, the wooden parquet is damaged by stones etc. and this must be avoided at all costs.

For people who do not have bowling shoes, we have rental shoes in sizes from 27 to 50 available for a rental fee of € 2 per pair of shoes from the age of 12. Children up to the age of 11 receive the shoes without a rental fee. Of course, the shoes are disinfected each time they are worn.

The waiting list

Sometimes it happens that all bowling lanes are fully booked. This mostly happens before public holidays and on weekends, which is normal because most of us have the time to have fun, meet friends and have fun.

In the event that more guests want to play bowling or billiards than we have lanes or tables, the waiting list has been created. The term alone spreads so much resentment in some people that we sometimes frighten ourselves when we use the word in our mouths.

There is nothing wrong with the list. It just gives us an overview of who can get a bowling alley in which order. So we make sure that everyone gets to play after a fair trial. The exact waiting time cannot be precisely foreseen. We don't pick any of our guests off the lanes and we don't know exactly how long a lane will be occupied. Ultimately, however, the majority of those waiting get a train within 30-45 minutes. When it comes to billiards, the waiting times are usually even shorter.

In addition, we have many options to bridge the waiting time. From air hockey to basketball to pinball, we have provided a few things that are fun and what could be nicer than sitting together with friends, having a bite to eat and / or drinking and talking to each other?

So just shake off all the deadline pressure at the weekend and take the time to shut down, have a good conversation and don't rush through the weekend. Everyone comes to play with us within our opening hours - that's a promise.
